Unfortunately, said "fringe left wing lunatics" have most of the power in America. If you don't believe me, ask yourself which ideas will get you sponsorships from Pepsi, Nike, Google, Amazon, Facebook, Netflix, Deloitte, and Accenture. Then ask yourself which ideas will get you fired or cancelled.
This is the reason why conservatives are tempted to fight fire with fire.
