Getting along, enjoying other people and their production seems an absurdly obvious win,win,win,win,Winn way of life that it baffles me that bossy bastards, greedy self-dealing corruptocrats, kleptocrats and ignorant, arrogant, stupid people don't figure it out and prefer attacking other people, robbing them, bossing them, killing them.
Then I remind myself that humans are mostly chimps wearing pants. Average IQ = 100. So it's not surprising. We're making progress, extremely rapidly if viewed by the millennium rather than decade or year.
Even a 10,000 nuke MAD wouldn't be a big deal viewed from 2200 AD. The world reduced to 200 million people would be far from endangered species lists. But up close and personal in the here and now it is a big deal.
It's crazy that so many people are for it.
