Please note the revised report below: There are tiny changes in the Average Portfolio’s value, (+$28), and more significant changes in ALONER’s returns for the week and YTD. Though not changing their rank (4th and 2nd respectively), ALONER earned an additional $414.83 last Friday, not included in the original report. This narrows the gap between ALONER and first place BLADERUNNER for their YTD returns to only $872.
The reason for the correction is that I had missed the completion of the acquisition of PRVB by SNY for $25.00 / share, that was complete as of midnight April 26/27th. My excuse is that Yahoo! Finance erroneously returned a share value of PRVB of $24.99 at the close of Friday the 28th. But ALONER, the only portfolio that had selected PRVB, alerted me, resulting in the updated report. This sale produced cash of $23,651.84 for ALONER from an initial $10,000 investment, a very satisfying ROI of +137%. This cash was re-invested in the remaining nine stocks of the portfolio, 11.1% for each stock. The price used for the additional shares was the market close of the day after the sale completion, i.e. Thursday, April 27th. The difference between the closing prices on Friday verses Thursday allowed the additional shares from the reinvested cash to yield the missing return for ALONER.
