Wars are started by leaders of countries in most cases when they are in economic trouble or simply a wanton desire to be the Alfa wolf.All wars have a mistaken assessment of the attacking party due to mistakes and economic reasons. Of course peaceful cooperation is economical superior to any war But the hubris that make a leadership fell superior to the attacked party is a too great temptation and miscalculation. Bottom line wars are not economical advantageous for the attacking party only a diversion of from the real problems which in most cases are economical Russia attacking Ukraine is a classic in this respect
