Shrinks are involved in the process.
It's the shrinks that are "recommending" the mutilation and the puberty blockers.

And by "recommending," I mean the parents look for shrinks that will give them the "recommendations" they are looking for.

You know, kind of like anti-vaxxers looking for doctors who are willing to prescribe HCQ and IvermeQtin to counter COVID, instead of following FDA recommendations.
