This months Newsweek had a full page IOmega ad.

This is not unusual: there were a string of IOmega ads in
consecutive Newsweek issues a few months ago. What I found interesting
is that the most recent add is for Ditto (the others were for Zip),
and was pitched towards _businesses_, whereas the
previous ads were pitched toward consumers. (you know: the freaked-out
teenager, with a death-grip. In the consumer ads the comparison was "insurance
for your stuff" versus car insurance; the recent ad's comparison was
"insurance for your business versus insurance for your stuff").

I can't beleive that the change in focus is about Ditto being a more
"business appropiate" solution than Zip. Rather I'm wondering if this
signals a change in IO's focus away from consumers (where the fire is
burning fast on its own) and toward business. Comments?

On another note: anyone notice the full page Imation ads in ComputerWeek
Mag? Can't miss it - shows big and little feet that fill the page. They mention
the LS -120. Nothing of any substance in it - one of those "Know who we are
and expect good things" kinds of ads that says "zip" (excuse the bad pun).
