There are 400 M guns out there. If each one has 100 bullets or shotgun shells, there is enuf ammo to fight WW2.
Golly, not even WW1 was fought with just small-arms ammo.

Even in Ukraine, where battlefields are being compared to WW1, small-arms ammunition isn't the limiting factor. Instead, it's artillery shells.

The vast majority of casualties, by the way, are caused by artillery (including rocket-launched artillery like HIMARS). Small arms hardly ever hit anything. Even snipers claim more lives than those armed with Kalashnikovs.
