Adulation is his substitute for love. My guess is he's studied Mussolini too as he has the same smug look on his face, and posture when he knows he's wowed the rubes. Their demographic is exactly the same, their arguments are the same. The practice of blaming other for the crimes they've committed is exactly the same. I think Trump looks at Hitler and thinks "He almost did it, he was close. I can do it. I can become the first dictator of the world."
