There still are a lot of questions concerning efficacy of any treatment for beta amyloid plaques even for moderately advanced Alzheimers disease. On the other hand, data on effectiveness from tau tangles treatment seems more encouraging. One of the few companies developing tau tangle intervention is Ionis Pharmaceuticals (IONS), which has a drug in phase 2 clinical trials. Full disclosure: I have owned IONS for about 20 years. Art
