I think you made an error.On levelII if someone is on the bid they are selling,on the ask they are buying.This is the way on my S&P CompStock level II.

I don't think so. If GSCO were on the ASK, it would indeed be willing to sell at that price (not buy at that price). Every time I've ever seen GSCO, etc. go tight on the ASK, the stock gets weak.

On the other hand, when GSCO is right on the best BID, it is willing to buy. Whenever I see a bunch of MMs on the BID, the stock price does tend to rise.
