Sonny, Sorry but all those TA types are merely selling a theory. They could be right, they could be wrong. No way to know until it plays out. What we do know about the future is limited but one of the stronger predictions is from demographics. Baby boomers are getting into their 50's and they are starting to save for retirement:::> $$ into the market is part of that. The children of baby boomers are growing up:::> Less crime. An enormous population with leisure cash is going out to buy PCs, get on the internet to e-mail friends, look at weird and dirty pictures, and to keep up in conversations with friends and neighbors who are talking about computers and stocks all the time. Those trends will go on for 10 to 20 years. Buy whatever feeds that market and hang on. Intel is a good choice as you well know.
