I have the AMD Ryzen 5800X processor with 32 G ram. Originally I was using windows 10 and when 11 came out I checked it out. It looked pretty but the performance was terrible. I mainly use my computer for entertainment...music and video watching and my part time business that uses Libra office. I noticed while backing up my video files to another ssd it would slow to a crawl and actually stop sometimes. Opening my Jriver was also slow as was the office documents so I went back to windows 10. I went back and forth a couple of times but 11 was just too slow. I recently tried 11 again and nothing changed so I did a little digging to the problem. I did read earlier about the AMD slow problem but figured MS would come up with a patch but it was still slow. For those who are having the same problem AMD has a patch that did fix the problem. After patching I did a trial copy and past on a 50 G video file and it transferred uninterrupted in one minute exactly. The speed did vary but it was between 1.5 g and 2 gigs a second. The transfer was from a 500gb Nvme ssd to a 2tb Nvme ssd. Can't complain about that. So far after 3 days everything seems just as snappy as windows 10.

Just for kicks I did the same transfer to a regular SSD that is not connected directly to the computer but via a Sabrent 7 port usb hub sitting at my desk with the computer 15 feet away and that speed was about 4-500 mb second

Here's the link to the patch.
