After watching the CNN Townhall tonight, I'm afraid FOR Americans.

Ran into this Johnny Cash cover of "Hurt". Turns out, the songwriter is Trent Reznor from Nine Inch Nails - AKA "Jonny" in Bowie's "I'm Afraid of Americans" in the linked post.
