I don't consider the liberal threads on SI to be truly liberal; they are basically dogmatic threads that are opposed to constructive criticism. The same can be said for the conservative threads on SI.

My voting record is solidly liberal. But that does not mean that I agree with all the positions on the liberal threads or, in fact, with the Democratic party platform. Mind you, I don't even agree with all of my wife's positions either, since she is kosher and I am not. But that does not mean that I don't love her or support her unconditionally. And I certainly wouldn't ban her or divorce her because we disagree on certain issues.

Actually, I consider both the liberal and conservative threads on SI to be cheap and nothing more than blindly regurgitating the Dem/Republican Party platforms.

I see 91 bans on Epicure's so-called liberal thread. That is not my idea of what liberalism is all about. If that's the standard of what liberalism is all about, then I am happy to oppose it.
