BC, no one in the West thought that they could beat RuZZia with just economic sanctions alone.

About the best they hoped for was to make PooTin pay a high price for invasion, which he proved to be more than willing to pay because, quite frankly, he himself is not suffering at all.

Nor are his supporters in District 1, a.k.a. Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Make no mistake, though. The price for PooTin's war of choice continues to rise, and it's rising even faster than the price tag for California's high-speed rail to nowhere.

That article that you posted, for example, doesn't say anything about how (surprisingly) effective the oil price cap has proven to be.

Nor does it mention how RuZZia's budget deficits are skyrocketing beyond projections.

Nor does it mention exactly who is benefitting from RuZZia's increased oil shipments to China and India. Hint: It's not RuZZia.

Finally, it doesn't mention RuZZia's long-term problems such as their brain drain, the lack of qualified young workers (because they're either getting "mobilized" or they're trying to escape "mobilization"), the huge drop in foreign investment and economic development, and the fact that RuZZia will now be a pariah state for the entire foreseeable future.

True, those long-term problems probably won't stop PooTin's war of choice in the near-term, but it will ensure RuZZia's path toward North Koreanization.

And that means the end of RuZZia as a superpower. Oh well, at least China's more than willing to take their place ...
