I would suggest you do your own study of any "foreign" market, that is, non-American market. that you want to trade. Try to find TW type formations and buy signals from the past. Keep a count of what would have been successful trades and a count of those that were unsuccessful. Also note when the buy signal was and the next few years after the buy signal. Was that a period of a bull market in that country or a bear market. You can always expect a higher percentage of failures if the market in general is doing poorly.

All this is to establish whether Ted's approach holds true in the foreign market. The big issue in my mind is whether the market is controlled by specialist and other manipulators. I have no idea what the enter workings of the foreign markets are. Here in our markets Ted's approach works because his formations are telling us what the manipulators are trying to do. (You might think that manipulation should be illegal and supposedly it is, but they get away with it all the time. Read The Wall Street Jungle by Richard Ney.)
