Sorry not to get back sooner, and I don't have but a moment
now. However, I did have an install crash like you.

The solution from tech support, which worked for me, was
to delete the complete program directory and quotplus.ini
from the windows directory, reboot, and run the install again.
The reboot was necessary.

This will destroy your database unless you keep it in a
different location from the program files (which I do
routinely).

I'm running NT 4.0, and if you're not this may not be of
much use. The reboot was necessary to reset WOW. There
are other ways around this problem, but I don't have time
to discuss them now.

I've posted here about other problems with NT, which I'm
gradually resolving, with kind help from others on this thread.
I will post my results when I've put them together.
