NVDA - The stock's trading resulted in a reverse head and shoulders (weak form) at the lows last year. That pattern generated a reversal target at exactly 318. There was a nice reaction down once that number was finally visited last week. But now that the number has given way, a 2X move is to be expected, making a visit to $526 a near certainty.

A brilliant market tactician recently publicly advised loading up on SOXL!! Who was that masked man?? Nice call sir!!



These kind of situations are why you don't want amateurs making your investment decisions. Amateurs take the bait on these pullbacks. Pros know to stick with big picture plays. Amateurs don't know the difference between weak & strong form head and shoulders patterns, and they don't know how to read the leading index charts properly.

Elliott wave is a very difficult discipline to properly apply. Attempting to divine a roadmap using it as a primary forecasting tool has made a fool out of me more than a few times in my career. There are almost always multiple alternatives to one's primary count, and thus capitulation to one's preferred count happens all too often. Although it helped me hold my ground more than a few times during wave 2 counter moves, I find now that reliance upon it should be reserved for a few definite scenarios, which could be either short or long term in scope.
