Clarke and Bradbury could actually write, but when I checked back on Asimov I realized he couldn't create a believable character to save his life. He wrote good non-fiction but terrible fiction.

Some of the others who could actually write include Philip K. Dick, Brian W. Aldiss, Michael Moorcock, Jack Vance, R.A. Lafferty, Ellison, and of course J.G. Ballard., but when I think of the time I wasted on the likes of A.E. Van Vogt...

I did watch the first two seasons of Star Trek, almost all of which are ludicrous to me in retrospect, but stopped there.
