This kind of weather is extremely unusual for this part of Canada. Springtime used to be "mud season". It hasn't really rain much for many weeks. The forests are dried right out and the ground is like dust. We've now had a few springs like this, so I guess this is the new normal. The trees are getting very stressed from all of this though - making them vulnerable to disease, etc.. as you know from what has happened in the PNW. The shape of things to come. Yes. Very sad.
