The fire crews are going to be hard pressed to keep on top of all of these fires. There aren't enough water bombers and choppers around to give aerial support to all of the ground crews.
Something I have noticed this summer. Normally, we get extremely heavy dew here almost every night. By morning, the plants are all wet and the ground is moist. Even if you don't get rain, it's like everything got watered during the night.
Well, it hasn't been happening like that a lot of the time this year. Normally, if you were to sit down on a lawnchair after about 10 p.m., you would want to dry it off with a towel. Not this year. The lawnchairs stay dry all night. The plants aren't getting their usual damping down with dew each night.
