The original Star Trek was a comically low budget production when no sci-fi anywhere on the screen was even better. But when you look at it as a metaphor for its times (Cold War, race relations) it comes out better. And it achieved some remarkable firsts on network TV.

That said, there are only a few classic episodes I would want to ever see again.
