I used to have Google brand android phones back 7 years ago, but I had hardware problems with most of them.
I switched to iPhone and iPad, never regretted, and love them. Correction - I was ipad user before switching to iPhone. The quality is outstanding, and my very old iPhone 8 is alive and kicking. I use iPad at home, screens on these easily break, so it’s best to buy older model when they go on discount. Screen is the most breakable part, so I like to have it small. Google of course has someone else making their phones, so their quality was subpar compared to Apple. I also found Apple Maps app much better for navigation than Google maps.
