As for being "walled in," I've never felt like I was with my iPhone. I worry about security if Apple is forced to allow 3rd party app stores access to iOS.
Same here. Switched away from iPhone just long enough to realize how much, imho, android sucked... been a dedicated iPhone user since the 4s. Apple gets it right every time! If I'm walled in, I don't really care, since it does everything I need it to do, and the security/privacy benefits outweigh any of the other features offered by low cost competitors.
