early on in my career, I had to attend a systems admin course at Digital Equipment Corp in Sunnyvale. It was right next door to Intel main offices at the time. So I went to Sizzler for dinner and there were these guys with a huge chip plot talking about design changes to the 8086 prototype. This was like 1984.

I didn't give it much thought until a few years later when I got into design using that chip and remembering all the points they were discussing.

Sometimes you just witness history being made and don't know it.
