You need control over the whole widget in order to come up with a device like the VisionPro. It would seem like Apple may have been the only company to come up with a device like this because you would need the hardware and software expertise in order to deliver something like this. If it works anywhere close to what was displayed, it will be mind blowing. I don't know if the price will come down significantly over the first couple of years because of all the new tech in this thing. But if they can get this down to about 2K, they will sell a ton of them. But with the majority of the profits from this thing in the future, it will be interesting to see how the share price responds to this announcement. Many are saying that this will cannibalize other devices by Apple but, at least in the short term, let's say the next 5 years, I don't think so. Lots to think about with this announcement.

Apple usually doesn't announce products so far in advance but with all this being so new, they want to get the developers time to do their stuff. I wonder what Zuckerberg and Meta are thinking right now.
