Doctor told me it would take 3 months to get my lungs back into shape. She is probably right. It took 2 months after my bout with Covid back in Oct 2021. I was released on the 10th of Oct, Saw my doctor then a week later and he said, "you lungs look terrible" after comparing two xrays. By mid Dec we were flying to the Big Island for a vacation.
So I suspect it is much the same this time. I am doing multiple short walks daily based on the new doctors advice and that seems to be helping. Also life throws at lot of small tasks my way that takes effort and that helps too, I think.
Thanks for the reference on candlesticks - yeah pricey on Amazon about $75. I probably have a book somewhere, in some forgotten move box in the garage. one of those many tasks to do. not high on my priority list though. I remember quite a bit of that, pattern recognition helps.
Also most of our wealth is in real estate. I'm am just a dabbler in the market as it seems a good way to also lose money. But RE especially in Calif has been very good to me and to my family over the years.
In fact, I tried to model myself after a maternal great grandmother who came to this country from a home in Italian Switzerland. Over the years she assembled a good deal of Real Estate in the San Francisco area. She died in 1945. I have tried to copy her efforts in a lesser degree and it has worked surprisingly well over the years. We own three homes here plus a couple lots, and a condo elsewhere plus a mortgage note on a second condo, plus we are in the process of trying to build yet another home, although a very small home over on the coast, in Sonoma Counly, a short walk to the local beach.
So that's the story of my life this past 75 years, a slow process but fun all the way. |
