The most common complaint about the Vision Pro I've seen is how heavy it is, and speculation that it wouldn't be comfortable to wear for a long time. Not surprising since it is made of mostly metal and glass.

I get the feeling it is very much a "proof of concept" device to get developers on board and the public excited about the possibilities for this headset.

Then future versions could be constructed of lighter weight but durable plastics for both the frame and lens, especially if the weight becomes an issue or is a common complaint. That would also cut down on the cost.

If they can make it substantially lighter, my guess is they'll also find a way to incorporate the battery into the headset while leaving a USB-C port on it for charging or direct power.

Economies of scale should bring the price down too for lower end models. I'm sure Apple is already thinking about the Vision Pro 2 if the first one really catches on.

I bet it'll be a big hit.

For example, what if they made a model for just content consumption, like watching sports, movies, playing video games, and being in VR worlds?
