COTS as of June 6, 2023 Waiting on the Fed This week the commercials slightly decreased their net short position in silver. In gold the commercials increased their net short position by selling a chunk of their long positions; they also decreased short positions in gold. Ed Steer's Comments: on silver Mr. Steer repeats his comments from last week: "Silver is locked and loaded for a big move higher...whenever that is allowed. It's been in this state for quite some time now." on both gold and silver: "So place your bets as to how this all plays out in the weeks and months ahead...with gold bearish -- and silver wildly bullish from a COMEX futures market perspective."
