This is a very important indicator :
"Despite Asia crisis, corporate insiders are bullish on U.S. stocks"

""Data from the past three weeks show the insiders think it is time to jump into the market with both feet," agrees David Coleman, an analyst who is setting up an investment fund based on insider trading analysis for Watershed Asset Management in Washington, DC. "I believe the market is going to break out from here." Coleman, for example, notes that a mere 25% of insider transactions in September were purchases. But that shot up to 43% in January.
"Anyone looking to insiders for clues about the markets should keep in mind a couple of warnings. First, they have a great record, but they don't always call things right.
"Second, you will always be on a slight time lag when you track their movements. The latest available trades, which you get to look at because they must be registered with the Securities Exchange Commission, are usually about three weeks old. But it is the overall trend that matters. And that trend, note the insider trading analysts, is looking good.
