I think your read of the article is right on Flickerful. I do have to admit I've only scanned it, but not read it.
As an investor I stick to the basics and try to look at those products or services which have high demand with little available supply to satisfy that demand. Then I look for a company that has the potential, technology and a means to fill the void. If I've done my research right, I grow my investment. AWRE and NANX are two that have recently come public, which I've taken a long position in. In the past USRX, UNPH & DELL, I no longer hold UNPH.
Now the internet limitations identified in the article indicate other areas of possible investment.
I myself believe...as does Reggie Jackson, that one day we'll be able to "beam me up Scotty"! This is just the beginning...200Kbps today...a billion Kbps one day!
It is certainly a hodge podge of things that make up the WWW...LANs, WANs, intranets, internets and all connected to satellite, cellular and what have you. All needing to be switched and routed.
Hell if we had fiber between my house and yours, we'd be watching DVD movies, playing DOOM while on the phone to each other. And if we blink we miss something. I fall asleep now waiting for a web page to down load and when I waken, I've missed nothing. My browser makes a little sound when it's done down loading, which wakes me up....what will they think of next?? <GG> |
