What 'China- domestic' does is not the same thing as 'China- foreign'. The Chinese citizen for the most part is very happy with their country as long as they have money... they have money they have freedoms of 'Chinese being'. They don't give a rat's ass what happens outside China because foreign news in China is heavily censored & national news is geared tightly political. No one is saying Chinese need to care about things outside China. But EVERY country that has had it's economy grow and it's people develop and advance out of poverty and into modernity has shifted toward free enterprise, or instead failed and collapsed as the authoritarian leaders fight to maintain their power against the population's desire to be more free. There's no reason to believe that same won't happen in China. Look at what the government did recently to the Chinese internet tech titans. Ali Babba was going to spin out the brilliant highly popular and highly profitable Ali Pay service, and the Chinese government screwed up the entire thing, and probably set Ali Babba back five to ten years because......the Commie goverment wants to prioritize its control over the advancement of the Chinese society. That type of action will cause China not to move ahead of other countries, and instead keep them backwards. Inventors and companies make things better when they get the reward for making things better. If the government blocks them in innovation because the innovation is good for the people but bad for government control, well, over the long term they either going to remain backwards, or the government will be tossed out. You can't be both authoritarian AND get the best out of your people.
