That is true, but it's the only interpretation of the law that matches the words of the statute, and prior decisions. Could it be wrong? Possibly. Has Trump said things that contradict his defense? Possibly.

You are declaring him guilty because you don't like the way he operates. But that might not matter when the motions for dismissal are filed.
