To all: I left a message about the SEC investigation of BAT, and
my friend, who owns 26,000 shares, went over to find out what
what happening at BAT. He spoke with Joe LaStella for about
two minutes. Joe recognized my friend from the test on Tuesday
and came over to shake his hand. My friend said that Joe was
calm and composed and didn't seem to be stressed out by the
investigation. Joe said that a reporter from USA Today has been
at the Calstart building and that a nice story would be in the paper
soon. Joe also said that all of BAT's correspondence with its
various partners was being assembled for the SEC investigation.
Joe said that an announcement would be made next week about
the pulse charged power generation project. I asked my friend if
Joe said anything about going to jail, and my friend said that there
was nothing said about that subject. Certainly we cannot expect
the SEC to review and digest all of this material on Wednesday.
I would think that it would take three weeks to one month for the
SEC bureaucracy to come to its conclusion about whether BAT
is for real. This affair must evolve into whatever it will become, and
it will take time to evolve.
