Ali, if they have so much cash then why this?
Bill, i agree that some of us pull for WinStar as though it were our favorite team. I see nothing wrong with this as long as it does not lead to false information being posted. I consider myself an "owner" of WinStar, nor just an investor. Thanks for your response.

Teligent Issues $440 Million Of 11.5% Senior Discount Notes
VIENNA, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 12, 1998--Teligent Inc. (NASDAQ: TGNT - news) Thursday issued $440 million aggregate principal amount of its 11.5% Senior Discount Notes due in 2008.

The notes will be issued at a discount to their aggregate principal amount at maturity to generate gross proceeds to the company of approximately $250 million.

The proceeds will be used to finance the continued development of Teligent's business and deployment of its services and systems. The notes have not been registered under the Securities Act and may not be sold in the United States absent registration or an applicable exemption from registration requirements.

Teligent is building digital, fixed wireless networks that will be used to offer broadband voice, data and Internet services to small and medium sized business customers in 74 major metropolitan areas across the United States.
