Yes, we've just been lucky wrt to the smoke from all of these fires.
Friends in NYC told me it was just terrible there for over a week.
Same in Pennsylvania.
Seems like people are starting to take notice of what's going on.
People who know the forests have known for quite awhile
that the forests are getting dried out - the soil is dry -
there's been so much preference given to growing softwood for lumber
that the forests here are becoming increasingly coniferous.
That's bad news in this heating up world.
There's a price that will be paid for all of this.
