Two Chinese regulators give OK for MaxLinear's purchase of Silicon Motion - report seekingalpha.com This is interesting. I would think if the Chinese government were going to just block this deal no matter what, then the agencies listed in the article would not approve it. This gives a lot more confidence that the deal will go through. We're waiting now for Chinese anti-trust approval (SAMR) and there are zero anti-trust issues with MXL-SIMO since there is zero product overlap. Buy SIMO!
