Summer Doldrums???

This week the commercials decreased their net short positions in both gold and silver by decreasing their short position more than they decreased their long position. Open interest declined in both precious metals.

Chartwise, I note the 200 dma has been reached on everything with the exception of gold.

on silver:

" ... the white-hot bullish case for silver from a COMEX futures market perspective is still in place ..."

on gold:

" ... gold is still in a bearish configuration ..."
