When Robert Fulton invented and introduced the steamboat on August 17, 1807 everyone laughed, they called it "Fulton's Folly"...

Who's laughing now???

In its first year the new steamer differentiated itself from all of its predecessors by turning a tidy profit...

The quick commercial success of North River Steamboat led Fulton to commission in 1809 a second, very similar steamboat, Car of Neptune, followed in 1811 by Paragon...

An advertisement for the passenger service in 1812 lists the three boats' schedules, using the name North River for the firm's first vessel...

Steamboats dominated river travel for years and Fulton acquired a huge fortune from his invention...

LOLOL!!!!!

Those without vision live all their lives wearing blinders that prevent them from seeing beyond their noses, and so all they can do is laugh at others...

The best example of that is the candlestick maker because his world is filled with the idea of making better candlesticks, but nothing more than that...

The best candlestick maker in the world would never stop for a moment and think of the electric light bulb...
