How To Spot Bullshishka: "hOrRiFiC" Cluster Munitions

RFK Jr. Torches Biden For Handing ‘hOrRiFiC’ Cluster Munitions To Ukraine | The Daily Caller

Straight Line Logic - "Ukraine is going to lose the war and no amount of hOrRiFiC U.S. weaponry is going to reverse that."

MSNPC - War in Ukraine is already hOrRiFiC. The U.S. is set to make it worse.

Ryan McBeth on YouTube noticed the latest RuZZian disinformation campaign, this one revolving around cluster munitions:

YouTube - RuZZia's Cluster Bomb/DPICM Disinformation Script

Basically the Kremlin is trying to join the words "cluster" and "hOrRiFiC" with super-glue and shape the discussion around the U.S.'s latest assistance package to Ukraine.

Horrific to Whom?

"But but Tenchu, cluster munitions ARE horrific! Did you not see that 111 countries signed an agreement banning their use?"

Horrific to whom? RuZZians? Yes, that's the idea.

Civilians? Only Ukrainian citizens might be affected by their use, unless Ukraine uses them on (internationally-recognized) RuZZian soil. And thus far, Ukraine has been forbidden to use any NATO-supplied weaponry on targets outside of occupied Ukraine.

But even then, those concerns are bogus. Right now, RuZZia has already planted a TON of mines all over occupied Ukraine. The RuZZians don't even remember where they planted them. That's where most of Ukraine's cluster munitions will be aimed, and I don't think a few more unexploded cluster munitions will make that ground any less safe than they already are.

Finally, given that RuZZia is hypocritically using cluster munitions on Ukrainian civilians, anything that brings PooTin's war of choice to a quicker end will end up saving more civilian lives.

Useless?

The other piece of Bullshishka is that cluster munitions will supposedly be "useless" except in the targeting of civilians. Scott "The Pedophile" Ritter argued this very point:

Scott Ritter: Cluster Munitions Will Change Nothing for Ukraine (sputnikglobe.com)

The good news is that Ritter has been much more wrong about the war than he's been right about it. Like Jim Cramer, you'll make money if you always bet against the Ritter Critter.

In any case, let's go over the use cases for cluster munitions.

Can they be useful in clearing trenches? That sounds like the most obvious use, but I'm hearing conflicting analyses on how effective cluster munitions would be against entrenched infantry.

How about clearing minefields? As Ryan McBeth already pointed out, this doesn't seem likely, either. The unexploded ordinance itself would create a brand new minefield. I've heard that the U.S. Marines figured this out the hard way during the Iraq war.

However, they will be VERY useful in counterbattery fire. During the counteroffensive, every time Ukraine's forces advance, RuZZian artillery opens fire and saturates the area that Ukraine just entered. However, that also exposes RuZZian artillery positions to counterbattery fire. Although Ukraine has pretty accurate artillery, cluster munitions would make Ukraine's counterbattery efforts even more effective.

Also, Ukraine has had tons of success dropping grenades from drones onto RuZZian tanks and vehicles. Unfortunately, most of those grenades just explode on the surface of the tanks because they aren't strong enough to penetrate armor, so instead drone operators typically look for tanks with open hatches. And even then, aiming for those open hatches is very tough.

But the cluster munitions that the U.S. is sending include anti-armor shape charges. Ukraine has already stated that they will break open the cluster munition shells and drop the bomblets individually from drones. That will make the bomb-dropping drones even more lethal to RuZZians on the ground, since those shape charges don't have to be aimed at open hatches. They can potentially penetrate up to 4cm of armor, which should be enough to go through the light armor on the top of a typical tank.

Maybe these bomb-dropping drones can also target RuZZians hiding underneath bunkers built into their trench network. This makeshift "bunker-busting" ability might also give the RuZZians a really bad day.

The "Right" Way to Win a War?

Overall, the controversy over cluster munitions centers around the so-called "right way to win a war."

In this case, those who are arguing against providing Ukraine with cluster munitions are either in denial over the realities of war or are working for a hypocritical RuZZian regime that will do anything and kill anyone just for PooTin's ego.

Don't fall for the Bullshishka. Give Ukraine what they need to win. Let them figure out the risk to their own civilians.

And if you see someone mention the words "cluster" and "horrific" in the same sentence, check to see if that person is echoing slogans from the Kremlin. If they are, it's easy to spot.
