I believe Lam was a little late getting its etch cluster tool to market. That has been corrected.

In general, when listening to claims by a vendor that they're # 1, one has to pay attention to the precise details of the statement made. It's frequently qualified to the point that the manufacturer describes a market segment addressed only by his tool.
