I must clarify one aspect of your post.

You are correct that BB and many other analyst were bullish on Bre-x. But this was before the questions of tampering of assays was made public with Freeport's own drilling.

During the interim when Bre-x and David Walsh and Feldorhof were still insisting that "the gold is there", BB in two newsletters prior to Strathcona's findings made public question whether gold was there or not and in the final one (again before the public announcement of no gold) stated that it would turn out to be a fraud.
