Some photos from yesterday.
We went to the market, had lunch by the sea, and then explored the old town.

The old city walls and gates are still in place. A few main roads pass through them, allowing you to see how thick those walls really are (~7' or 2 m and sometimes thicker to ~3m/10').

For the most parts the old walls and alleys are in tact. For us it is sightseeing. But people still live in the old buildings and most of the shops are for local use, not for the tourists.

In some places external support keeps a house steady.

PS this is Rabat

After lunch we explored this neighborhood and had afternoon mint tea with local sweets.

I love the archway

A typical bustling local market. Just because it is not a tourist trap it does not mean that they won't try to double and triple charge you.

Kids really wanted to eat here. Not the best food or service. But it made them happy, which is all that mattered to me.

Beyond these walls is the old town.
