he European Chips Act will mobilize €43 billion of public and private investment to future-proof the EU’s semiconductor market.

Intel is seeking an additional €4bn-€5bn (US$4.4bn-$5.5bn) in subsidies from the German government to build a chip manufacturing plant in the country, reports Fortune.

Tata had been locked in negotiations for nine months to secure state aid for the project, which would aim to produce 40 gigawatt hours (GWh) of batteries a year, enough to power hundreds of thousands of electric vehicles (EV). It had initially considered a rival site in Spain for the plant.

Africa and LatAm, should not worry. They have not asked where the manpower and the materials will come from, yet.
