Wharfie,
I'm gonna guess zero
Bad guess. Even the channels that we follow for updates on the Ukraine war get "demonetized" for no reason whatsoever.

Denys Davydov is an example. That guy used to be a commercial airline pilot, but these days he's a full-time YouTube content creator. Although he's super careful not to post war footage that could get him banned or restricted, he still got banned one time last year.

It was likely due to some auto-ban algorithm. Maybe Denys' channel got accidentally associated with some of the pro-RuZZian channels out there. Maybe it was the result of RuZZian trolls spamming the "report" button on his channel.

Whatever the reason, Denys' channel was banned for several days before he was able to get it cleared up. But even that represents a significant chunk of revenue that he wasn't getting, all because YouTube's ban bots got a little too enthusiastic.

And that example is the most benign. A lot of politically-oriented channels are restricted or "shadow-banned" by the algorithm because they dared to express opinions that happened to align with the Q Continuum, such as Hunter's laptop (which was once labeled "RuZZian disinformation" by the Obama Ministry of Tr00th).

This stuff is happening, Wharfie, and there is no consistency, nor is there any drive by Google to improve the process. The standard answer remains, "Well if you don't like it, go somewhere else," which is fine but it doesn't make Google any less "evil."
