Compared to what? Ounce for ounce? Dollar for Dollar? BTU vs BTU? Output per fill-up?

Comparing gasoline to diesel would be scientific. Just saying its more "potent" means nothing scientifically.

Think of it this way:

If you spent $20,000 on solar charging equipment and batteries (energy storage

Or $20,000 on a home generator and gasoline (also energy storage.)

Over 20 years which would bring you more Kilowatt hours? energy. Or better which would give you more over its lifetime since you'd probably run out of gas (not to mention the noise and exhaust pollution.)

My guess is it no contest. Solar is going to win by a looooong way, hands down no sweat, far less hassles. You don't have to start a solar panel... pull pull pull... or feed it gas every few hours, or store gas.
