....does any hobbyist out there have a dero worm starter culture available for purchase?.....I maintained a culture for several years in the past but never to the point that I could harvest more than perhaps a half ounce or so per week from a 10 gal tank. Still, it was very advantageous to have live food available for selected killies in mid winter.......I co-cultured the dero with daphnia in the water column above.....feeding the dero algae wafers .....the dero waste products supported a bacterial culture that the daphnia fed on........it was a sort of as balancing act that could easily go out of whack if I fed too much.
