Just never know what you might find here.

Knew the story, but had never seen the paperwork until cleaning out my mother's house. Only thing my
grandfather ever said was they ate rats while in the POW camp, and that he escaped once, but when he got
to a trench and said comrade, the trench was full of Germans. Luckily they took him back. The following is
a post card to his mother asking her to send chocolate through the Red Cross/Switzerland.
