That's woke talk right there. Slavery was indeed a complex issue. It still is.

Do you realize just how "extreme" abolitionism was at the time? It threatened to uproot entire economic and social structures, all to pursue an ideal that we take for granted today but was FAR from universally accepted back then.

Even President Lincoln wasn't a full abolitionist. Not even after the start of the Civil War.

Where does Lincoln fit into your world view where there is "no room for nuance"?
