Chiroscience is suffering form a very nervous UK biotech sector.
A number of high profile failures/setbacks/delays etc (eg. Celltech, Biocompatibles, Scotia) has damaged sentiment severely.

Unfortunately, all UK biotechs are being tarred with the same brush such that even companies which have not disappointed ( eg. Chiroscience, Cortecs) have seen their share price fall back.

Investors are much more cautious and even great news like Chiroscience's Bristol Myers Squibb deal is getting a muted response
from the stock market. However, later in 98 there is the possibility of product approvals for Chiroscience (Chirocaine) and Cortecs (Macritonin) which would be an enormous boost for the sector.
